Although a small village we have many restaurants catering not just to our residents but they many welcomed visitors who come to enjoy the amazing sights of our region.  You will find no difficulty in getting a pleasurable meal here whatever your culinary interests, budget or dietary restrictions may be.

Turkish traditional

Nazar Börek Cafe meanwhile, like the name says, focuses on the pastry delights called Borek. Served wet or dry and coming with salads soups and other side dishes this traditional decorated restaurant with wood paneling makes you feel at home. Prices are vey reasonable and you will find that within 10TL per person a fine meal can be had.

Gozleme is one of the traditional Turkish foods that you will find in many cafes. Hand rolled dough is coated with butter and eggs and then filled, sealed and grilled. Somewhat like a stuffed flat bread, or a sealed up pizza, a variety of different flavorings are possible.  Try it at Cafe Safak which is near the Open Air Museum. website

Topdeck Cave Restaurant - A great location, friendly staff and tasty food make this one of the most popular locations in Göreme to get your meal.  Try the sigara boureki, because it is Cigar shaped, while seated on cushions on the floor in traditional Turkish style. Turn right at Aygaz, before the Stone House Hotel, and walk into the back street to find the restaurant. website

Pumpkin Goreme Restaurant and Art Gallery - More like eating in the chefs' home rather than dining in a restaurant this small fixed menu art gallery serves organic meals of the chefs selection each day.
